Do you ever like to just get lost in a book sometimes? Well, I had forgotten how fun and relaxing it was to just get lost in a book. There is a local book store that opened 2 years ago by us. And we are so lucky to have such a treasure close by. The name of the store is Foxtales Book Shoppe and I am hooked on their books and events. Last Thursday they had southern author Wendy Wax there to chat about her new book, Magnolia Wednesdays, and to also sign copies for attendees. Her good friend Karen White, another well known southern author, was also at the signing. So it was a special treat for all of us that attended! If you are looking for some good summer beach reading,or just great books, be sure and check out both author's books the next time you are at a bookstore.

Ahhh... One of my favorite pastimes, getting lost in a book. Libraries and bookstores are two of the places I most enjoy spending time.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for visiting the cottage. I hope you will come by often.

I've been reading non-stop since I was five. I love independent book shops! And now I have to check out that book:)
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing.
Lucky you for getting to meet and author in person and attend a book signing. I have never been to a signing but it does look like a lot of fun, especially for a book/author you admire and love to read. Have a wonderful weekend.
